Sample Answer

The diagrams illustrate the process of producing cement, and the way cement is used to manufacture concrete for building purposes.

Overall, cement production involves five linear stages, whereas concrete is made in a single mixing stage using four raw materials in fixed proportions.

To produce cement, limestone and clay are first fed into a crusher, where they are crushed into fine powder. This powder is then transferred to a mixer being moved through a pipe to a rotating heater. In the next stage, heat is applied from one end of the heater, causing the mixture to undergo further processing. Subsequently, the heated material passes through conveyor belt to a grinder, which transforms it into the final product, cement. In the last stage, the grounded cement is packed into bags for construction purposes.

Concrete production is a straightforward process. Four materials are added to a concrete mixer: gravel, which accounts for 50% of the mixture, sand at 25%, cement at 15%, and water at 10%. As the mixer rotates, these ingredients are thoroughly blended, resulting in concrete that is ready for use in building projects. (Total Words: 184)
